Twelve years serving in a single company is never an easy feat, but when that organisation is like family, it makes it a whole different sort of job. This is the case for Cecily Tyson, the 33-year-old operations manager at Computaz & Beyond, which is located at Shop 1-2 Central Mall, Great George Street, Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland. She credits the staff and her clientele base for her longevity on the job, stating it has been a joy and a tremendous pleasure serving for more than a decade there.

"It's great here," said Tyson, "We are like a family here and I really enjoy coming to work day after day, each month and year because staff and customers alike enjoy the treatment."

Tyson said she gets a tremendous amount of fulfilment working at Computaz & Beyond, 12 of its 15 years of existence, and notes she intends to remain part of the family for as long as is possible. The Montegonian took up her appointment as operations manager on September 2, 2002 and has been serving the company's clientele ever since with passion and commitment, and has remained one of its longest-serving workers and one of its most trusted employees.

"I stayed on this job for so long because I really enjoy interacting with the customers. You just have to love serving others, and it's something I think I was born to do," she said.

For Tyson, each day is a new experience and despite having to travel the distance from Montego Bay each day, she would have it no other way.

Why? "It is a privilege to come here to work," said Tyson.
