Biting into a masterpiece

The cake at a wedding reception is akin to most prized piece of art in a gallery. And today they have become bigger and better. There are no limitations. But an emerging trend is cupcakes instead of the multiple-tier cake.

Suelan Chung-Evans, owner of Sugabuzz, loves to make couples happy on their day, and does her best to give them exactly what they are looking for. If necessary, she will give input on how to truly make their visions come alive because the best feeling for her is to know that brides are happy.

Chung-Evans confessed that she loves doing the regular cake versus the cupcakes because of the designing element. It is easier to go all out when working with cakes as they are larger. However, this does not mean that working with cupcakes is any easier, less attractive or necessarily faster.

"You might be doing flowers for each of these small cakes and you want to ensure that they are just right, so that detail can take a little more time," explains Chung-Evans. She admits that it might be easier than making one unique work of art, but it is not always faster.

However, when it comes to beautiful wedding cakes it really is in the eyes of the beholder and what they are looking for in their wedding. So whether you are having a traditional, an extravagant cake or a accompanied with cupcakes, whatever you choose is uniquely you.
