Have Breakfast in Portland this Easter
If you thought Canboulay was big last year, in 2015 it will be major. Hundreds of people will be expected to descend upon the quiet town of Portland, which will be awakened to the sounds of soca at 4 a.m. this Easter Monday. Canboulay Breakfast Party will be held at the Ken Wright Bikini Beach right beside the Errol Flynn Marina.
First of a kind in Portland, patrons will be catered with soca music by the sounds of DJ Smoke & Dei Musicale from Trinidad. The Food Factory's owner and connoisseur, Kamar Barrett, will be providing the breakfast, which is sure to satisfy patrons' taste buds along with a special treat from Sunshine Cereals, one of the amazing breakfast sponsors for Canboulay Breakfast Party. Marlon Carr, Sunshine Cereal's brand Manager said, "It is definitely a pleasure to be a part of this first-of-a-kind event in this part of the island. Having a proper breakfast meal is important to oneself and we will be there to ensure that each patron starts the day right with offerings from our Sunshine Cereal Granola product line.
Event organiser Howard Britton explained, "We are looking at a 10-year plan for the hosting of the event and to uphold Portland as a preferred destination during the Easter weekend, with the help of corporate sponsors in the promoting of 'Brand Jamaica'. The event starts at 4 a.m. on Monday, April 6 on the Ken Wright beach and is scheduled to finish at 11 a.m. You can get your tickets at Ribbiz Ultra Lounge, Errol Flynn Marina or online at EventBrite.
