Brad Allen rocks!
Saint International has kicked off their sweet 16 this year with another male model rocking the fashion universe.
Brad Allen has kick-started the agency's year with a bang in this year's fashion weeks. The Jamaican fashion star has, so far, walked the runways for some of the world's most pre-eminent fashion houses during the London Collections: Men and Milan's L'UomoModa (and then Paris Men's Fashionweek).
Collectively, they constitute what is now officially the biannual men's fashion season.
Brad's strut to fashion glory started in London where he snagged runway appearances for KTZ, Agi and Sam (with fellow Saint star Brandon Bailey) and Brit power label Belstaff. This placed him squarely on the radar of fashion's leading casting directors and directors heading into Milan.
Once arriving in the Italian fashion capital Milan, Brad was on every major designer show request log. But at this stage it was more strategising in selection.
He has, so far, made career-defining runway appearances for Ralph Lauren (in one of the most talked about cast in Milan Fashionweek, as some models were celebrity models/actors), Phillip Plein, and Brioni (the Roman men's couture house started in 1945). The piece de resistance was the Calvin Klein booking which catapulted the Saint model to the fore. Since then, his name has been on everyone's lips.
"Brad's face is one of the sharpest in the business. He has been growing over the years," explains Saint boss Deiwght Peters, whose former assistant, Andrew Mullings, discovered Brad on a bus on his way from school (Kingston High) about six years ago. "Brad's humble personality could often be mistaken for naivetÈ but he is hardworking, smart, loyal and ambitious, and those traits served him well," Peters posited.
ANOTHER CALVIN-KLEIN MOMENT
Brad's Calvin Klein is even more poignant as the second Jamaican male model in history to make appearance for the brand. The first was another Saint model, Andre Doyley. Doyley made history as he was booked directly by Saint CEO Deiwght Peters. This was a historic moment for the Jamaican agency. Brad now joins a growing list of Saint International models making appearance for the legendary American fashion brand - considered by industry insiders as fashion's most valuable.
Brad's fashion résumé is impressive as it's diversely peppered with campaigns from hot Italian label DSQuared and hip Japanese brand Uniqlo. His runway credits include Z. Zegna, Costume National, Iceberg, D Squared, Dolce & Gabbana, Emporio and Armani, among others.
