Wedding Spectacular celebrates five years
On Sunday, February 21, the Hope Gardens Historic Walk will be transformed into bridal bliss. Already considered Jamaica's largest one-day bridal expo, the annual event attracts more than 2,000 patrons annually, showcasing at least 70 of Jamaica's leading bridal vendors and service providers in one venue.
Event founder and INTUIT Concept's managing director Kibwe McGann shared: "When I first ventured into the bridal market, I can truly say I had no clue what I was getting into. My company manages events and to me, this was just about putting together another event. But there's something special about couples getting married. You quickly recognise you are selling a product that little girls dreamed about their entire life, and ultimately a product that brings together two people who go on to plan and create families. That's when it hits you that you're doing something special, because family is important."
Wedding Spectacular was first held at the Wyndham Kingston Hotel. The event quickly outgrew indoor venues and was relocated to its new home, picturesque Hope Gardens. The show is known for its grand bridal fashion shows and has been a platform for Petals & Promises, Bliss Bridal, White Lotus, Neah Lis and male suit designer Spokes Apparel. Over the past five years, patrons have come to expect spectacular prizes such as fabulous honeymoons on the north coast and complete weddings. This year, Fly Jamaica is gifting a flight to any of its destinations and new-
comer American Jewellers will be giving a pair of wedding bands to one lucky couple.
Michelle Cotterell, INTUIT Concept's director and event partner was quick to add that " Wedding Spectacular has grown into a calendar event. Our exhibitors and sponsors look forward to the event, and by mid-August we have brides registering online for the next show. A show of this magnitude, however, would not be possible without great partners and sponsors."
This year's Wedding Spectacular Bridal Expo will take place on Sunday, February 21 at Hope Gardens Historic Walkway. Admission is $600 at the gate.
