Cynthia Bailey for Island Child Style
Bravo TV's Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey will again be in Jamaica as she has partnered with B3 Parenting Magazine for the inaugural staging of Island Child Style - the Caribbean's first children's runway event.
Bailey, who is also the owner of one of Atlanta's foremost fashion schools, The Bailey Agency, will visit the island in June as part of an initiative to provide aspiring talents with the necessary tools to achieve success in the fashion industry. One lucky child model will be selected from the group of Island Child Style models to attend a weeklong camp at the fashion school in Atlanta. The Bailey Agency is an exclusive institution for young minds desiring to learn about fashion, modelling, acting and entertainment.
Bailey is listed as one of Wilhelmina Model's most successful international models, having walked the runways in Paris and Milan Fashion weeks, and booked for repeat ad campaigns for notable brands such as Maybelline, Olay, and editorial spreads in Vogue, Elle, Glamour and Vanity Fair.
Bailey and her daughter Noelle Robinson will grace the cover of B3's summer issue due on news stands at the end of the month ahead of her arrival for the June 4 event. The 14-page editorial spread features Bailey as 'model mom' to her 16-year-old daughter.
The Island Child Style introduces a new dimension to Jamaica's creative sector, positioning children's fashion industry as a viable competitor in today's marketplace. Extending Jamaica's already-strong position as a leader in the regional fashion market, Island Child Style will further cement the Caribbean as a creative and revolutionary influence in the global apparel industry. Carlton Brown, drennaLUNA, NeahLis and Julan from Jamaica, as well as Anthony Reid and Meiling out of Trinidad, are among 15 designers who will be showcasing their children's collections at Island Child Style. Sixty models aged 4 to 14 were selected from a pool of almost 400 at B3 Parenting Magazine's recent model search.
