FAB 5 and Freddie McGregor have teamed up with the American Women's Group (AWG) for All-Inclusive Escape 2016, this Saturday, to raise funds for the organisation's various charities.

For the past 31 years, the AWG, a non-profit, non-governmental organisation comprising a multinational group of volunteers, has been carrying out charitable work designed to benefit women and children.

According to president, Claudja Barry-Alexander, "Education is our primary focus, and we have planned this all-inclusive party with the aim of raising funds to assist in extending our scholarship programme for children at the basic, primary, high, and tertiary levels of education."

An internationally acclaimed singer formerly of the group Boney M, Barry-Alexander has been quietly living in Jamaica for a few years, but is determined, along with The AWG, to make a difference in the lives of children in need. "Our goal is to offer at least 60 scholarships each year, and we are proud that we can make a positive difference one small project at a time," she said. "We are particularly proud of our latest major accomplishment just this week, the launch of a pavilion and homework centre, which was built to facilitate approximately 400 students who attend the St Martin de Porres Primary School in Gordon Town.

The AWG's social services programme also provides financial support for needy students and institutions.

Escape 2016 will provide the perfect mix for socially conscious patrons who also love to party. The all-inclusive cost of $6,000 per ticket covers the cost of drinks, an epicurean array of delectable food, a night of good music, a silent auction of art pieces, and many prizes and surprises throughout the night.

Major sponsors of Escape 2016 are Victoria Mutual Wealth Management, Jamaica National Building Society, Silverstar Motors Ltd, GB/Texaco, and The Gleaner (Media) Company Ltd.

Escape 2016, which promises a night to remember, kicks off at 8 p.m. on the grounds of the American International School in Kingston, located in Hope Pastures, Liguanea. Renegades disco will be joining in the fun.
