Pulse star Francine James has shot yet another heavyweight fashion publication, when she copped a multi-page spread for Marie Claire in London last week.

Francine will shoot two more assignments in the coming days, including Florence and Fred, before heading home for CFW. Her Marie Claire spread was shot by Jason Heatherington, with styling by Abisoye Odugbesan.

The high-flying British Elle alumni is ecstatic about her latest success and is happy to continue her roll towards supermodel status. Earlier this year, she shot Spanish Vogue, after shooting the German edition last summer. At the start of 2016, Francine flew to Cape Town for the Elle shoot, appearing in 10 pages of the magazine.

Her assignments this year include campaigns for H&M, Gucci, and Westfield, among several other brands. Francine was the hot new star for 2015. Now she has been joined in the international space by her Pulse agency mate Alicia Burke, who has been setting Europe ablaze with such editorials as French Vogue, Harpers Bazaar and 1883.

Francine started her international career at the Paris shows last February. All other Caribbean models who hit the spotlight in 2015 have been in the international market for a number of years. What's more, Francine is still awaiting a work visa for the United States, so her status has been achieved without the benefit of the all-important US market. Even more stunning success is anticipated when she hits the New York scene later this year.

At the end of 2015, Francine was featured for the first time on models.com. The industry site picked up on her breakout success with German Vogue (published last December). As her editorial images pop up in various markets, a new cover for Companere highlights the Jamaican's classic beauty.

TIME IN EUROPE

Francine has spent most of her time in Europe - other than a brief stints in Hong Kong and South Africa, where she went to execute specific assignments. In Europe, she worked for clients in Paris, London, Milan, Stockholm, and Amsterdam. Having walked the Paris runway at the collections last year, the Pulse Model Search-winner successfully battled illness to return to European success ahead of summer.

For Francine, the sky is the limit. Her clients include 1981, ESPRIT, John Lewis, Vlisco, Ahlens, LNDR, Todd Lyn, Vanessa Steward, Marios Schwab, Faith connection, Companere, and Olympia Letan. These included covers for Companere and John Lewis.

A covergirl at 16 years old, Francine enjoyed academic excellence before starting her modelling career. Pulse waited on her to finish high school, earning distinctions and credits in nine subjects at the CSEC level. Francine shot the cover and several pages of British travel glossy Suitcase while still at Camperdown High school. Pulse Chairman Kingsley Cooper has a direct connection with Francine, having discovered her and introduced her to the international market himself, as he did with many other Pulse stars before.
