Expectant mothers and nurses on the Maternity Ward at Andrews Memorial Hospital were treated to a nutritious breakfast last Thursday as B3 Parenting Magazine kicked off its Big Baby Shower campaign.

The breakfast was hosted by NCB Omni Educator and Smart Eggs as part of their sponsorship of the parenting expo. In addition to the breakfast partnership, NCB also delivered a well-needed water cooler to the maternity unit at the hospital. The water cooler will serve expectant parents, as well as the nursing staff of the hospital.

According to NCB Senior Marketing Manager Wealth and Insurance, Roland Henry, "NCB Insurance has renewed its partnership with A Big Baby Shower for the fifth year; a relationship we highly value since this event allows us to demonstrate our commitment to building a better Jamaica by supporting families and activities geared towards them. Here, we have an amazing opportunity to tell mummies and daddies that it is important to start thinking ahead - children don't stay babies for long, so it's absolutely critical to put things in place from early and develop a culture of saving towards a child's college education."

The parenting expo/Big Baby Shower will be held on June 26 at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel and will run from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Parents and children can expect a full day of activities from all the sponsors, including samplings and many giveaways throughout the day.

In its sixth year, the event promises to be bigger than ever and will have something for every parent, from the anxious expectant

mothers and fathers to parents getting their teens ready for college. According to Be Parenting CEO Michelle Gordon, "This year's event will continue to focus on the parental journey while offering support at all stages, with special attention to topical issues such as the Zika virus and pregnancy, early childhood education and raising confident children."

The event is sponsored by NCB Insurance, Gleaner Company (Media) Limited, The RJR Communications Group, Huggies, Johnsons, FYI Consultancy, eMedia Interactive, Toyota Jamaica, Main Event, Smart Eggs, CB Group, Gerber, The Herald Printers, BabyBop Store, and Caribbean Airlines.
