Executive Home Management is now being run from a newly redesigned office space. We accomplished everything with just the overhead costs of paint and fabric for our screen, in two-three weeks.

The screen was very important, as it separates the office space from our laundry room. We decided to go with yellow on the walls complemented by blue. A visit to Pings was just what we needed to get our fabric- we chose a contemporary print from Waverly fabrics.

We called on drapery designer Rose Terrelonge from Rose's Decor - Terrelonge makes beautiful drapes for the most discerning of clients. She assisted us with our request for a simple curtain screen, which she was kind enough to sew overnight.

Alicia Thomas of AMarie Art, came through with two lovely paintings which we will always treasure. We still have some decor elements we would like to add to the space, however, those will be put in place in the coming weeks.

Our space has been transformed from an ugly, cluttered mess to a peaceful, pretty and quiet place to work. Take a look at our before and after pictures. If you decide to re purpose a room, the following will help to make it easier.

1. Set a timeline. When should the entire project be completed?

2. Get some help! Call us at 512-7293, we are ready and waiting to help.

3. Clear the floors first, then the furniture after.

4. Create piles - keep, dump and donate.

5. Each item kept should have a 'home'. Avoid leaving things out of place as this contributes to the making of clutter.

We are proud and happy with our new office space. Sometimes it's the little things that make our lives happier and more comfortable. Don't forget to call EHM if you need help to organise and repurpose a room in your home.
