This week, I come to you with another review and TGIN - Thank God It's Natural is the one under the DIY Jo microscope.

Fontana Pharmacy now carries TGIN's Green Tea Super Moist Leave-In Conditioner and the Twist and Define Cream with coconut oil and vitamin E. I had heard of the brand and was excited to try it. I washed my hair with my normal shampoo, but I did not condition or deep condition. I really wanted to see how these products worked on their own.

On my wet hair, I raked the leave-in conditioner. The leave-in was rather thick, so I really did not need to use a lot of it. It provided enough moisture and slip that I could even finger detangle. My hair felt silky smooth and I had a great appreciation for it because despite it being thick, it was not heavy.

I then applied the twist and define cream in small sections. I flat twisted the back which is the shorter part of my hair and twisted the front of my hair. I allowed my hair to air dry overnight and removed the twists the following day, shingled, and fluffed.

The twist-out was very defined. There was no resistance when shingling allowing for more volume.

After 24 hours of pulling out the twists, I have absolutely no flakes, which is always important to me. My hair is not crunchy and only a little frizz due to some areas getting wet during the rain. Areas that didn't get wet are still tight showing that humidity doesn't frizz the hair only direct contact with water.

So out of five, I give the leave-in a five for my medium-porosity hair that tends to get dry from time to time. If you have high porosity, also a five. For low porosity, because of how thick it is, I would give it a four. It might be too thick even though it is not greasy. So use sparingly. Irrespective of the porosity of the hair, the twist and define cream is a five from smell to texture to hold and it is flake free, a definite must try for everyone.

The TGIN line is available in all Fontana locations islandwide (Montego Bay, Kingston, Mandeville, Ocho Rios and Savanna La Mar) and at
