Pulse's Shalisha Stewart is elegant in Etudes, hailed by Hermes

Pulse Model Shalisha Stewart is the epitome of elegance and French brands - Etudes and Hermes has not only seen her potential but has decided to make her their focus.

Stewart dons a combination of slick leather jackets and soft silky layers in pinks, beiges and greys cascading down her lanky frame as she strides confidently into every shot for the new campaigns. You would not believe that she started her career with Women Paris just a year ago.

"It was an amazing feeling for things to start moving so quickly, but I was quietly excited that my modelling career got off to a great start," said the soft-spoken Trinidadian.

In 2016, Stewart met the Pulse team in Jamaica. She did the required industry digitals with Romae Gordon, which was sent to London and Paris. By the Spring of 2017, she booked one of the world's top agencies - Women - Paris and New York. She is also represented by Models 1 in London.

London was where she first rocked the runway internationally. She strutted for Roksanda Illnic, Temperley, JJ.S. Lee, Lemaire, Uma Wang, and Christian Wijnants. She then made her way to one of the fashion capitals - Paris. Making her mark for Azzaro and Thom Browne. There she met the creative team from revered French design house, Hermes.

"Hermes is such a major brand and I felt honoured to be selected by them for this shoot. It was unlike anything I had done before. I spent three days on set and I learned so much, plus the clothes were so beautiful," said Stewart also admitting that she was a bit intimidated.

What Stewart brings to each line in a minimalistic chic finesse. With such simplicity, she showcases the crafted garments that are timeless and ageless.

She shows versatility by modelling for both Etudes and Hermes as the lines are completely different. Etude is the younger of the two is more contemporary and describes itself as"global experience of visual culture which operates across platforms from menswear and womenswear to publishing." Placing great emphasis on experimentation.

Hermes, on the other hand, is high fashion luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837. It specialises in leather, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear.

Stewart appeared to be the perfect candidate for both jobs she seamlessly adjusted to the two brands. She was able to bring the fresh new interpretation to the young Etudes while demonstrating pro moves for the more established Hermes.
