If the delectable display was anything to go by, the Taste of Jamaica Culinary Competition 2014, slated for October 18 and 19, foodies and judges are in for a tantalising treat.

Slated for the Montego Bay Convention Centre, at the launch at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel last Wednesday, the president of the Culinary Federation of Jamaica (CFJ), Dennis McIntosh, was in high spirits.

He spoke proudly of the fabulous prizes and the sponsors who have come on board this year to help stage the two-day festival.

"True to our core principles of unearthing new talent and eating what we grow in creative ways, we were able to train a team that exceeded our expectations. It is clear that the CFJ is making its mark on the local hospitality and food landscape. As our members represent the future of food and beverage in Jamaica, so they must embrace, elevate, promote and celebrate Jamaican food and culture with a passion. The CFJ would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our sponsors, big and small."

Now a must-go event on the food calendar, the CFJ wishes to continue to train, educate and unearth new talent. Above are some highlights.
