If you want to have a good time with your friends and some good food, coffee and pastries, then Susie's Coffee and Pastry Shop is the place to be during the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week (RW).

The restaurant has been around for the past 19 years and expanded its food options and hot buffet bar to one that you are sure to enjoy.

Some of the mouth-watering treats on the menu include real authentic Jamaican curried goat served with seasoned rice mixed with natural seasoning such as Irish potato, onion, scallion, sweet pepper, with toss salad garnished with lettuce, cucumber, cabbage, and carrots.

According to owner Susie Hanna, Restaurant Week is an opportunity to explore your options.

"Restaurant Week is about exploring - go everywhere. But here at Susie's, we always emphasise great service, great food, great coffee, very relaxing and friendly. You won't feel like a stranger here," she said convincingly.

Another RW dish to captivate your palates is the chicken (or shrimp) stir-fry with fresh vegetable, noodles chicken - rich creamy sauce and very popular, garlic bread, and to top off the dish, Parmesan cheese.

You can get the best of both worlds with the special fried shrimp and chicken walled in noodles and steam vegetables with carrot, onion, pak choi, tomatoes, scallion flavoured in oyster sauce, and delicious soy sauce. As a bonus, they have a variety of sweet treats such as pastries; cheesecake, red velvet cheesecake, breads and rum cakes.

All three special dishes are done to order, this is to guarantee fresh and steamy delectable 'lunch for dinner', only at Susie's Coffee and Pastry Shop.
