The Wine Shop: A touch of Home
Come November 14-22, the Wine Shop, in the Nyam and Scram category of the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week (RW), will be serving up a delightful shrimp penne pasta for shrimp lovers to enjoy.
Their shrimp penne pasta includes grilled butterfly shrimp tossed with penne pasta in a spicy light cream sauce. The light cream sauce mixed with spices gives an exotic flavour that is intoxicating. This topped with the smokey grilled flavour of the shrimp is enough to have your palate doing backflips.
Now, we have all seen the fun-loving cartoon ratatouille and wondered what was that dish which brought the cold food critic back to his childhood days. Well, The Wine Shop will be offering that dish - ratatouille. It is a stew of eggplants, zucchini, pepper, carrots with a variety of Jamaican spices. Though you may have never tried it before, after doing so, it will have you feeling like this is something that your beloved grandmother would have made for you. This delicious stew is served with sautÈed sweet potatoes and onions.
