Gimbilyn at Alhambra Inn
From the spacious dining spaces inside and outdoor, to the lavish green lawn and pristine pond that encapsulate the picturesque setting, to the cruising rhythms of hits of yesteryear in the background, the pleasant and courteous staff at Gimbilyn awaits you coupled with scrumptious dishes.
This year?s three-course meal includes a choice of soup or salad for appetiser- with a choice of five entrees, and three dessert options. The menu has a wide variety, sure to satisfy every palate ? chicken, fish, shrimp, pork and beef.
One of their mouth-watering offering is the The Tropical Grilled Pork Chops ? seasoned to perfection with pimento, it is then grilled and then placed in the oven to be baked to perfection, served with mango barbecue glaze sauce ? made from fresh mango with ketchup ? with roasted sweet potato and a melange of seasonal vegetables.
This the sixth time Gimbilyn at Alhambra Inn is participating in the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week, Banquet manager Karen Levy said that while it promotes the restaurant, it is fun, ?we have gotten good reviews,? she notes satisfactorily.
Managing director Sonia Grey-Clarke said that RW is an avenue to drive people to the restaurant, ?It exposes us, so that people would know what we are capable of. Plus my staff loves the excitement-they really enjoy it. They love the intensity of it ? getting the opportunity to provide good food for so many people in such a short time excites them,? she concluded.
The sound of gushing water in the background and the sway of the foliage complete the relaxing and serene atmosphere at Alhambra Inn. With the option of dining inside or al fresco, under the stars, on the lawn or on the pool deck, Karen Levy recommends that families and friends make it Alhambra Inn for this year?s Restaurant Week.
