Don't miss out on an awesome experience when you try real authentic 'Jamexican' food - Mexican dishes with a Jamaican twist, for the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant week.
Satisfy your palates with the Jamexican ackee tacos - a crunchy taste of tacos with sweet Jamaican ackee and chorizo pork topped with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and salsa - mild spicy flavoured.
Owner, Lorraine Carby, with a Jamaican and Mexican background, sure knows how to make you feel welcome and appreciated. Six years participating in RW, Carby said that she enjoyed the experience and that customers should take advantage of the opportunity each year.
Another must-try treat is the sweet Jamexican Ensalada de Pescado y Chorizo - chorizo and white fish cake with mashed potato on top of a mixed green salad with tequila vinaigrette and a side of garlic bread - flavoured with cayenne, chipotle that gives a smokey spicy taste - served with garlic bread covered in lime and tequila to bring out the flavour of the fish.
The Jamexican cuisines complement the awesome venue with available parking and free WiFi, creates the illusion of actually being in Mexico - a perfect blend of colourful graffiti taints the main wall on the inside and colourful outdoor decor.
Another great blend of authentic Jamaican jerk chicken is the Jamexican jerk tacos - with Mexican soft tacos with lettuce, cheese, sour cream and salsa - spicy flavour.
Carby encourages RW foodies to explore their options and take advantage of the Restaurant Week opportunity and try new foods that you only get to try once a year. You won't be disappointed on your stop at chill-eat-ohs this RW.
