Just peachy at Caffé Da Vinci
Black and white fused with a refreshing splash of peach, along the dancing backdrop of wild flowers blossoming into beautiful abstract art, depicted the decor.
The highly anticipated Restaurant Week is just one day away, and featured as one of the best Italian restaurants of the east is none other than Caffé Da Vinci.
Owner Allessandra Bardolini has been in the restaurant business for many years, and is no stranger to Restaurant Week. What makes her return year after year? The opportunity to share authentic Italian cooking and five-star dining with local food lovers. The heart-warming response she receives from experienced and new 'Italian' diners is an added bonus.
Restaurant Week ambassador Safia Cooper, accompanied by her significant other, Sanjay Smith, visited the restaurant to get a better view, palatable or otherwise, of all things Italia.
The staff was warm and welcoming and the evening was simply picturesque with a breath-taking waterfall in clear viewing sight on the outskirts of the restaurant.
The couple sat down to a three-course meal of mouth-watering Gamberi al Sale (Salt Grilled Shrimp) as well as Aragosta alla Catalana (Lobster Salad) for appetisers. Spaghetti di mare (Seafood Pasta), Filetto panna e funghi (Beef Tenderloin in mustard sauce) and Filetto di maiale in salsa di senape (Pork tenderloin in mustard sauce) for entrées. And for the sweet tooth, they satisfied it with Dolce & Banana - bread pudding served with ice cream and Tiramisu.
Cooper, who noted that it was her first time dining at the luxurious restaurant, expressed her love for the food, making specific mention of how pleased she was after the savoury and sweet indulgence, and ultimately described her dinner as amazing. Smith agreed, stating that the food was in fact really delicious.
So what are you waiting for? Make it a date and see for yourself just how peachy Italian moguls Caffé Da Vinci can be.
