Just in time for Christmas, Red Stripe will add yet another variant to its outstanding collection of beers with Red Stripe Sorrel. The sorrel-infused beer is a first for the alcohol beverage industry in Jamaica and adds to the already long list of authentic Jamaican items being produced by Red Stripe. With sorrel being a major part of the Christmas culture in Jamaica, Red Stripe Sorrel is sure to be a welcome part of this year's festive celebrations.

According to Erin Mitchell, brand manager Red Stripe, "While Red Stripe Sorrel will be introduced in time for the upcoming Christmas season, it will by no means be available for a limited time only. Every Christmas going forward, consumers can look forward to enjoying the refreshingly sweet and spicy taste of a long-time tradition now with a new twist to complement every celebration," Mitchell explained.

Red Stripe Sorrel is an unexpected combination of beer, sorrel and ginger extracts infused with exotic spices to deliver an unforgettable taste experience.

"We have capitalised on two Jamaican favourites, Red Stripe beer and sorrel, combining them to create one great beverage that is modern and an unexpected spin on a traditional Christmas treat," Mitchell said.

"Our mission has always been to introduce distinctive, flavourful beers that will delight our consumers. Over the years, and through continued innovation, we've introduced beer drinkers to new flavours and, for the first time, we are capturing the essence of a truly Jamaican Christmas ritual. The flavour was specially created using the sorrel recipe we have known and loved for years. We are excited to introduce this product and believe strongly that our consumers will enjoy this latest addition to our increasingly diverse portfolio," Mitchell ended.
