Get in the spirit of the season: Rum cocktails

'Tis the season to be jolly and what better way to be than with a spirit that is a mainstay - Jamaica rum!

There is no secret that we make some of the best rum in the world, but this season, as you enjoy the libations this little island has to offer, we implore you to do so responsibly.

Rum-Bar mojito

Ingredients

2oz Rum-Bar Rum

1/2 oz blackberry liqueur

Crushed ice

Mint stalk

Instructions

Add Rum-Bar Rum then blackberry liqueur in shaker, and shake for 10 seconds. Hold mint stalk in the centre of the rock glass and pour crushed ice, and then pour mixture into glass.

Back Road

Ingredients

11/2 oz Rum-Bar Rum

11/2 oz cherry juice

11/2 oz orange juice

1/2 oz simple syrup

1/4 oz Lime Juice

1/2 oz Peach Schnapps

1/2 oz Apricot

4 cubes of ice

Instructions

Add Rum-Bar Rum, cherry juice, orange juice, lime juice, apricot and peach Schnapps in shaker, and then shake for 10-15 seconds for perfection.

Kiss Mi Neck

Ingredients

11/2 oz Rum-Bar Rum

21/2 oz orange juice

1/2 oz peach Schnapps

1/2 oz simple syrup

1/4 oz lime juice

1/2 oz triple sec

4 cubes of ice

Instructions

Add ice, Rum-Bar Rum, orange juice, peach Schnapps, simple syrup, lime juice and triple sec in a shaker. Shake for 5-7 seconds.

Pour into glass with the four cubes of ice and add lime slice to the rim of glass.

To be stirred by consumer.

Cross Road

Ingredients

11/2 oz Rum-Bar Rum

11/2 oz orange juice

1/2 oz Amaretto

1/2 oz simple syrup

1/2 oz Lime juice

Dash of Blue Curacao

5 cubes of Ice

Instructions

Add Rum-Bar Rum, orange juice, lime juice, simple syrup and Amaretto liqueur. Shake for 10-15 seconds for perfection. Add ice cubes and serve in rock glass.
