12 Chefs of Christmas thank you Dinner
Imagine having one of the top 12 chefs in Jamaica in your back yard cooking up a storm for you and your friends for Christmas.
Well, 12 lucky winners were afforded the opportunity of a whimsical Christmas dinner caterer by any one of these 12 celebrated chefs - Ansel Beason, Charissa Henry, Colin Hylton, Oji Jaja, Allison Porter Smalling, Anna-Kay Tomlinson, Ravi Anne, Lorraine Fung, Celeste Gordon, Brian Lumley, Jacqui Tyson, and Michele Williams.
And to say thank you for a job well done, Christopher Levy, president and CEO of Jamaica Broilers Group and his wife, Sally, hosted them at a thank you dinner at Grog Shoppe, Devon House, last Thursday.
The 12 Chefs and their guests were greeted with a sangria before being treated to an appetiser of cream of pumpkin soup. It was a strange turn of events because, this time, the chefs weren't in the kitchen, but were the ones being catered to. Among the group, chef Brian Lumley got a special treat with a cake specially created by Selena Wong to bid him farewell as he prepared to leave the island for Qatar.
The buffet consisted of gungu and rice, pasta medley, fried plantain, rosemary potato, steamed mixed vegetable, jerked chicken and steam fish with coconut sauce.
The cherry on top included a dessert spread inclusive of strawberry cheesecake, chocolate mousse, double chocolate cake, sweet potato pudding, and coconut rum sauce.
Last Christmas was the second time Best Dressed Chicken was making someone's Christmas extra special. One of the 12 lucky winners also won a $500,000 worth of appliances.
