Valentine Feast for two

Spiced pineapple
Contributed Spiced pineapple pictured paired with Movendo, Moscato. Also goes perfectly with Vilarnau, Cava Rose, Brut.
Contributed Pan roasted free-range chicken with rosemary, garlic, and lime. This dish pairs perfectly with Rodney Strong, Sonoma County Chardonnay or Dr Loosen, Riesling.

Dessert Spiced Pineapple

Pairs perfectly with Movendo, Moscato, or Vilarnau, Cava Rose, Brut.

You will need:

1 tsp pimento

1 tsp cloves

1/2 tsp cinnamon stick

3 pieces Star anise

8 oz pineapple

3 oz granulated sugar-just to sprinkle

Method

1. Blend all spices together then add to sliced pineapple.

2. Arrange sliced pineapple on a tray and sprinkle with granulated sugar; soak for two minutes.

3. Arrange on plate and serve with soursop sorbet or ice cream.

4. This pineapple can be grilled as well.
