Eden Gardens deliciously revamped
Eden Gardens is always looking for ways to mix things up keeping them new and exciting. So after two years, they have completely revamped the menus of their two restaurants - Tulips and Black Orchid.
Tulips remains the more casual of the two, with an outdoor vibe. The menu retains the best sellers - Dr Lowe's catch and the delectable crispy chicken sandwich which is also the favourite of Food and Beverage Manager Etmour Williams. They also kept their signature dish - Lemon grass penne - which is a fabulous vegetarian pasta infused with their lemon grass tea to give that exotic flavour.
The rest of the menu was completely revamped. The new additions are intoxicating yet health-conscious. Their spare ribs smothered in barbecue sauce is only offered Thursday through to Saturdays. This along with the coconut crusted chicken breast are must-haves. They have managed to strike the perfect balance between the great taste and good for you. So that while you are satisfied, your health is also taken care of.
Their fine-dining restaurant Black Orchid, which offers an intimate setting, has retained only one dish from the previous menu - the New Zealand Lamb. They have recalled two dishes from previous Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week menus, the chicken chimmichuri - hormone-free chicken breast stuffed with mango chutney finished with chilli flakes, herbs and olive oil concoction and the pimento sirloin - pimento crusted beef sirloin done as you like, served with sorrel glaze and a Bordeaux sauce.
Among the additions are the Reef and Turf, which includes grilled shrimp and jerked marinated chicken, and their fabulous herb cheese stuffed chicken.
The change was inevitable just to keep customers engaged and to appeal to a wider demography. Satisfying their customers is at the top of their lists, hence the change was necessary.
So go ahead, try something new and indulge!
