The recently opened Mainland China Restaurant at Landmark Plaza in Ocho Rios serves everything - from a variety of delectable dishes from China, India and Jamaican cuisine.

"There is something for everyone," declared manager Mark Madam. "Nowhere else is modern Chinese food, authentic Indian kebabs and local Jamaican dishes all available in one location. We serve everything from American chop suey, chicken tikka and tandoori lamb chops to jerked chicken and curry goat," he boasts.

One feature that sets the restaurant apart from other dining facilities on the north coast is a dining area that allows diners to watch the chef as he prepares kebabs in the tandoor oven.

"So you can enjoy your food in our air-conditioned bar, or outside on the patio, where you can watch the chef at work," Madam adds.

Already Mainland China is getting support from an appreciative clientele as it is proving to be the perfect place for a date or get-together with friends or family. Added to that, the prices are also quite reasonable.

Patrons who dined at Mainland China during the Olympics were also able to watch the games in comfort as bartenders whipped up their favourite cocktails.

Owner of the plaza, Danny Galani, sees the opening of this new establishment as the realisation of a dream, and wishes to thank everyone who supported him throughout the journey, making it a reality.

"I just want to thank my family and strong team for making our dream project possible," Galani told Food during our recent visit.
