This new restaurant that opened at the Sovereign Centre Portmore on January 20, is the ideal sports bar and restaurant in one. With walls covered in flat screens for your viewing pleasure, and even a small VIP section. Director of The Office Ruel Kellier, told Food that the theme was a fusion of international and Jamaican with some inspiration from Hooters.

But outside of the decor and his gorgeous hostesses, what he believes that people should truly come for is the food. He credits his Chef de Cuisine Christopher Brown as the best in the business along with Sous Chef Ikelio Burke.

When it comes to libations, The Office has managed to nab brand ambassador for Smirnoff, Ocean Spray, Ting and Pepsi — mixologist St Aublyn Kidd popularly known as Captain Kidd, with his personal cocktail Fire N Ice — a sweet alcoholic beverage

While the restaurant has only been opened a little over a week, they already have the approval of American singer Sean Kingstonv who visited the restaurant last Sunday. Kingston enjoyed the mixes so much he and his entourage ordered drinks to go.

Already they have a few best sellers with their barbecued wings. and their shrimp and chicken quesadillas are a hit with their customers. But the number one best seller is their signature beef burger. The barbecued beef burger has a special marinade finished with Red Stripe and Star Anise barbecue sauce.

Kellier’s personal favourite however, is the chicken Parmesan — coated with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs and a medium spiced tomato sauce just enough to have your taste buds jumping for joy.

The Office was not an easy feat to achieve as Kellier admits that there were times that they did a budget and the actual execution exceeded it. But their drive and passion was what kept them going, and now they are reaping the rewards with even an outdoor expansion in mind next.
