Do you smell that? That sweet smell of caramelised sugar and bread in the oven? That's Until We Eat Again calling.

Whether you need special catering for your private parties or you want something scrumptious to satisfy your sweet tooth, Rebecca Karram's got you covered.

Growing up, Karram wanted to be a hundred different things. But by the time she hit her preteen years, she knew that her heart was in the kitchen. Raised in Kingston in a Lebanese household, Karram was surrounded by food. Both her grandmothers were incredible cooks and have been making dishes with recipes that have been in the family for decades. With that kind of exposure, it was easy for Karram to fall completely in love with creating foods that could change someone's life.

As the years went by, Karram only grew more interested and passionate about becoming a chef and bringing others happiness through food. She attended the Johnson & Wales University first in Miami and then North Carolina, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts and Food Service Management.

In March 2015, with the goal of changing the way people saw food and inspiring others to be different, Karram created Until We Eat Again. Where did the name come from, you may ask? Karram told Food that after every family meal, her grandmother would say those words, and they have stuck with her and have become her future.

 

Tasty Differences

 

Until We Eat Again is not your typical catering company. It strives to be more than a food fuel. Twenty-four-year-old Karram notes that she wants to broaden the spectrum of the food industry in Jamaica.

Karram believes that food is what many people turn to when they are happy, sad, celebrating or bored. As a result, she caters to all your needs. From tasty pastries to delicious meals, Until We Eat Again will take you out of your comfort zone and into a world of scrumptious food.

In order to stand out from the pack while creating an exceptional dining experience for her customers, Karram travels abroad and 'food crawl' with her family and friends so that she can be inspired by other cuisines, restaurants and bakeries. She shares that some of her ideas come from chefs she has admired over the years, and her parents who continuously push her creative limits.

Through Until We Eat Again, Karram wants to show that it is OK to stray from your norm and to taste and experience something you have never had before.

"I am aiming to be different. I don't want people to think of food as just 'fuel,' but as art. It's hard work, and when it's your passion - it's love. I don't know what my future holds, but I will continue to trust God and His plan for me. My heart and soul is in the kitchen and I'm confident that it will stay there," Karram told Food.

Aside from baking and cooking delicious wonders, Karram also does food styling.
