Palates in Mandeville and its environs, are jumping for joy as they have been thrilled with something new and different. Voila- by Lilee Bistro at Pear Tree Village Plaza in Mandeville, Manchester, is a place where the atmosphere, price and the food is right any time of the day. The fact that it is not smacked in the middle of the town, adds to its very laid back vibe that allows you to just relax, unwind and have a good meal.

Customers are simply amazed by the best selling home-made burgers with bacon served on the family's bakery bun. But if burgers are not your thing, fall in love with the grilled salmon with sage beurre, blanc and sweet potato fries with barbecue anch dipping sauce. Still by the sea, it is hard not to want to gobble up the garlic butter lobster that has persons on social media singing its praises. The green tea lemon is perfect for the hot summer days, especially after you have cheated with a slice of the master chef's chocolate strawberry short cake or Ice box kiwi.

Inspired by the cuisine and architecture of France, chef and owner Lian Chen, prides herself in creating an unforgettable experience for every customer that walks through her doors. Its like stepping into a French novel or movie, so even if it is just for your lunch hour, you have the opportunity of losing yourself. Its easy to pretend that you have just finished sightseeing in France, and you are ravenous and step into this calm space. Chen spoke of the care with which she approached each decision she took during the planning stages, noting that she wanted a unique space that would work with her food and have persons coming back.

She readily boasts that her menu is like no other in her geographical area this she adds was intentional. "Everyone has rice and peas, fried chicken and ackee," she shared with Food, so she wanted to be different. She says that first timers are often a bit confused as they are not necessarliy used to a menu with Belgian waffles with chantilly and freshly picked mulberries or mushroom and pesto panini made in house. They will even ask for things that are not on the menu. She shared that persons will choose an item and assume that it comes with something that it ususally is at another establishment. However, they are always pleased when they indulge in her extraordinary creations.

Chen boasts that her Bistro is perfect for any occasion not only because of the food and ambience but because of the prices,

"Last week a couple of came for a date and spent just $1,800 and had a complete meal and drink" she said with a hearty laugh.

Voila is open from Mondays to Thursdays from 8 a.m8:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
