If there's any restaurant in Jamaica that knows how to celebrate flavour, it's definitely Marguerite's. Located in the heart of Montego Bay, Marguerite's is considered the most iconic fine dining establishment on the Hip Strip.

Their location is nothing short of a beautiful encounter. Soft lighting, you're given the amazing option of dining either indoors or al fresco. "Inside is beautiful, but people tend to get excited about the patio. The ocean view is spectacular.

Marguerite's has been participating in Restaurant Week since its inception.

And according to Restaurant Week, Senior Sales and Marketing Manager of Marguerite's, Capin Alexander, "Restaurant Week is a good time for patrons to get out of their comfort zone and experience new places to dine. Unique and creative dining options are available at an affordable price. You can try places you wouldn't normally venture to.Who knows? You might just find a new 'favourite spot'. One such spot is Marguerite's.

Not only is it a remarkable opportunity to showcase their fine-dining experience, Alexander says, Restaurant Week allows Marguerite's to promote and support one Jamaica's great assets: its diverse and delicious culinary experiences.

Their Executive Chef, Cecil Jagdath requested an audience with us in his kitchen, where he displayed impeccable culinary techniques. He presented cod fish croquette with a ginger Scotch bonnet sauce, fillet Mignon beef tenderloin thermidor ackee surprise finishes off with a Caribbean style slaw, and for dessert, mango and strawberry chocolate brownie paired with banana bread laced with banana coulis.

Dedicating a quarter-century to the food industry, Jagdath explained that he loves to fuse flavours, working specifically with his native ingredients.

As the executive chef at Marguerite's for six years, he enjoys challenging himself daily because cooking is his art.

As for the challenges he faces when it comes to the menu, he is always mentally and physically prepared to take on the mission of providing savoury and sweet satisfaction. "If you cook without love, then it makes no sense. Cooking is like making love. You have to mix it up when it comes to flavour and make it exciting. You will always leave here with a happy face because we satisfy both your needs and your wants." He did point out, however, that he can't take all the credit, sharing, "I cook good food because I have a great team working with me in the kitchen."

The taste, the quality, and the ambience, there's no beating Marguerite's, so book your reservations for Restaurant Week today.
