Taste of India promises something special

Taste of India, promises to impress in this, its first year in the event.

According to manager, Nirmal Valwani: "Patrons will definitely expect authentic Indian food. Most of the people know about Indian food, even if they don't know, we explain how the recipe is prepared and try to make them as comfortable as possible."

Taste of India is located in the heart of Ocho Rios, situated atop Soni's Plaza along Main Street and affords patrons an overview of the resort town.

Coupled with the wonderful atmosphere, along with great service and great food, patrons will definitely enjoy dining there.

Chef Winston Williams, who participated in Restaurant Week previously while at another restaurant, is happy to be back in the fold.

"It's always exciting having people coming to taste our menu," said Williams in explaining the thrill of participating in Restaurant Week.

"It's always a special menu, same cuisine but we'll add a little touch to it to make it even more authentic so patrons can enjoy the experience."

So what's on the menu for patrons to look forward to?

Said Williams: "Lobster is always a great thing, so we have the Lobster and Shrimp Tikka Masala, which we know they will love, and we also have the Vegetable Sizzler."

"Good food, good service, everything should be great," added Valwani.
