Great food, innovative cocktails, and the ultimate Friday experience. Now, who doesn't love Fridays? Last Friday, food bloggers, corporate personnel, and media personalities were treated to the new and exciting savoury offerings at TGI Fridays.

TGI Fridays is located in about 60 countries around the world, with three locations in Trinidad and one in Jamaica. Jamaica's location decided to spice things up for the new year by bringing back a few of the old but tasty faves as well as adding some new dishes to tantalise your palate.

Encouraged to have fun and leave the baggage outside by Candace Villaroel, brand leader for Fridays Trinidad and Jamaica, everyone mingled among familiar and unfamiliar faces, patiently waiting for their meal selections. The appetisers included grilled Caribbean wings glazed in a secret rum sauce the flavour will have taste buds in a tailspin! And making a comeback in a major way are chicken fajita nachos. Yes, it's as amazing as it sounds. It packs a divine punch in every bite, and the guacamole et al dips tip the scales in enhancing the overall gastronomic experience.

By main course, attendees had more than their fair share of options. If you love hot, ready and tasty, then the sizzling chicken Mexicali might be just for you. Seafood is back, by popular demand, with several salmon, white fish and shrimp, or combination dishes to savour. Foodies are already raving about the salmon, Villaroel revealed, and we had to agree.

Pork lovers, there are new additions for you, too. There are healthy alternatives with the chicken salads. Creamy choices include pasta in either chicken or shrimp.
