RW 2018 | 100 scores with Restaurant Week Mingle

On Monday, The RJR-GLEANER Group celebrated its partners, sponsors, ambassadors and teams that worked ardently together to make Restaurant Week 2018 a reality. 100 on Old Hope Road hosted an exciting Restaurant Week Mingle which featured flavourful dishes, delicious cocktails and fresh beats from their resident DJ.

100 is known for its relaxing and ultra-chic dining experience which allows customers to feast both indoors or outside. As persons gathered in the turquoise dining area, embellished with silver decor and plush cushions made from vibrant hues of orange and yellow, they were greeted with the savoury scents of grilled chicken skewers, coconut shrimp and tantalising chicken with bacon pizza. The lunchtime mingle was off to a dramatic start as waiters dashed between tables delivering platters of hors d'oeuvres, filling the growling bellies of the anticipating guests.

Succulent chicken skewers layered in guava glazed sauce was the first dish served from the 100 kitchen. It was moist and flavoursome, which paired deliciously with the Appleton-inspired signature cocktails that were being served with that meal. Its wholesome twist on the traditional grilled chicken was simply Caribbean and appreciated by all who were able to sink their teeth into the delectable meaty treat.

The coconut shrimp took our palates on a trip to paradise with shredded coconut embedded on the crunchy golden-crusted shrimp. The phenomenal tartar sauce dip made this meal an enjoyable experience that had people lining the buffet for more. The final dish was the flatbread pizza and every bite was a surprise. With bacon and chicken bits layered on a thin crust, the pizza was a big hit among the guests.

With food galore and endless round of drinks, the Restaurant Week Mingle was a well-appreciated intimate gathering of persons working on restoring lifelong relationships over great food.
