One of Manchester's most wanted men shot dead by police
One of Manchester's most wanted men, Issachar Williams, has been shot dead by the police in a reported confrontation in the district of Coffee Grove near the town of Porus.
The police say Williams was the third most wanted man in Manchester.
They say about 2 p.m. yesterday, a group of cops was on an operation in search of Williams when he reportedly fired shots at them.
During what the police say was a running gun battle, Williams was shot and subsequently transported to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The police say one Smith and Wesson handgun with three live rounds were seized from him.
Williams is said to have been responsible for several shootings in the parish; one of which involved a two-year-old child who was hospitalised in serious condition.
