You can join our contestants on their journey by practicing these tips:
1. Begin your day by eating a high-protein breakfast. This helps to curb your appetite, improve your metabolism and reduce calories.
2. Avoid sugary drinks and fruit juices. These turn into fat.
3. Be strict in the types of foods you choose, as some are more weight loss-friendly than others. Eggs, leafy greens, salmon or tuna, chicken breasts, boiled potatoes, soups and avocadoes are examples.
4. Eating mostly whole, unprocessed foods is a simple way of preventing overeating as they are more filling in smaller portions.
The competition is sponsored by NCB Insurance's ProCare and Express Fitness and runs simultaneously with Doctor's Appointment, which is produced by Maverick Communications Limited (formerly Maverick Communications and Associates). Follow the competition on Facebook @DoctorsAppt.
