Fit 4 Life | It was FitMix with style with Body By Kurt
Kurt Dunn of Body By Kurt certainly knows how to mix and unlock the ultimate you with an intense aerobics boot camp.
On Saturday at the Oasis on the Oxford on Oxford Road, New Kingston, the fitness guru gave The Gleaner's Fit 4 Life participants a workout with a difference.
The morning started off with Stick Aerobics with Donovan Ellis, then it was straight into a slower-pace sensual Latin dancing with dance master Keith Cousin.
Grand Master Bryan Campbell and his assistant Oshane Bryant then turned up the tempo with a self-defense kickboxing session.
Fit 4 Lifers then got a break to get their power shakes from sponsor Chas E. Ramson made with Foska Oats and Blue Diamond Almond Milk, as well as delicious treats from partner GraceKennedy's Caribbean Choice, a variety of natural teas from Shavuot International, refreshing beverages from Grace Aloe and Catherine's Peak water.
Sponsor Medical Associates also gave free medical checks to ensure that everyone was fit and ready.
The man himself, Kurt Dunn, then took participants down memory lane with '70s and '80s dance aerobics.
Of course, what would a Fit 4 Life event be without the challenges to see who was Tuff Enuff?
The Kukibo Crab Walk, Body By Kurt's Kettle Bell Kinetics and Kukibo Push Up Static Balance definitely were no easy challenges. But Richard Hutchinson won all three challenges in the men's category, while in the female category Dionne Forbes took the title twice and Francine Richards copped it in the Kukibo Push Up Static Balance.
The winners earned prizes such gift bags from Shavuot International; gift baskets from sponsor Chas E. Ramson; gift baskets from GraceKennedy; one month membership with Body By Kurt; brunch at Oasis on the Oxford; T'Shirt from JABBFA; and Fit 4 Life gift bags, T'Shirts and water bottles.
