Fit 4 Life | It was track and field circuit training with TrainFit
Stokely Rose and his TrainFit Wellness team took Fit 4 Lifers through an intense five-circuit boot camp on Saturday, on the tracks of Calabar High School on Red Hills Road, St Andrew.
Cardio/dance aerobics, full-body training, hurdles and sprints, middle- and long-distance drills, and a boxing/back-to-basics circuit were part of the extreme early morning session for The Gleaner’s Fit 4 Life’s seventh event of Season 3’s Fit in 5.
Trainers Rose, Craig Sewell, Terron Brown, Errol Messiah, Ian Darby, Collel Hogg, Tarique Blackwood, Lacrisha Smalling, Shavar McFarlane, and Andrew Henry showed the over 300 fitness enthusiasts no mercy, leaving everyone drenched in sweat with muscles aching at the end of the two-hour session.
Sponsors Jamaica Moves, WATA, PowerAde, Foska Oats, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze Milk, Elle & Vire, Caribbean Choice, Gustazos, Eden Gardens Wellness Resort & Spa, JP St Mary’s, Medical Associates Hospital & Medical Centre, and GraceKennedy Money Services were on hand to replenish everyone’s energy.
Of course, what’s a Fit 4 Life boot camp without challenges for the winners to take home great prizes?
In the Hoola flip ball challenge, Trudy-Ann Johnson took home the Foska Oats gift basket; Simone Spaulding won the GK Money gift basket in the punch ball challenge; Ronai Clarke won the Eden Gardens gift certificate for the shuttle cone challenge; Oneil Wallace won the Fit 4 Life hurdle drills challenge; and Faith Browne won the Blue Diamond Almond Milk basket in the weighted burpees challenge.
