Policeman fixes trench to aid traffic

Norman Grindley/Chief Photographer For more than two months, a trench that runs across the busy Port Henderson Road in St Catherine (near the Port Henderson Primary School), caused traffic to a come to a crawl. But yesterday, Corporal Kevin Thomas, from the traffic department at the 100-man police station, decided to do something about it. The policeman put aside his helmet and sunglasses, and got to work filling the trench with marl. Covered with sweat, Thomas was praised by passing motorists for his efforts.
