Senior cop tells colleagues to go the extra mile

INSPECTOR GENERAL of the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Assistant Commissioner Delworth Heath, is urging the men and women of the police force to go the extra mile in the execution of their duties over the next several days.

This as the country is close to achieving less than 1,000 murders this year.

If the target is achieved, the country would have registered the lowest murders to date since 2003.

The inspector general says each member of the force must make the extra effort to achieve this goal.

He suggests that there is little time for talk as all members of the force must be purposefully focused on and engaged in the execution of their duties.

ACP Heath is also encouraging commanders and station managers to fully mobilise their officers to ensure that the goal is achieved.
