Opposition Leader Andrew Holness says he has received legal advice that there are matters in a recent declaration by the Constitutional Court which must be addressed in the interest of the proper functioning of his office and a clearer understanding of the Constitution.

In a statement yesterday, Holness said he has filed an appeal against the

ruling that he was wrong to use signed and undated letters to remove two senators from office.

Holness also noted that he has been served with an application to add him as an interested party to a petition filed by the clerk to the Houses of Parliament and that a petition will also be submitted on his behalf.
