Columbus Communications Jamaica Limited (CCJL), operator of Flow, has set a March 15 date for the full roll-out of the island's first-ever advanced video service (AVS).

According to Flow, AVS will change how Jamaicans watch television by allowing them to view cable on their schedule and providing more high-definition (HD) channels.

Grant Hume, CCJL acting managing director, said the launch of AVS at this time was part of the strategic mission of the company.

The launch of AVS will result in Flow offering up to 63 HD channels in its standard package, and customers no longer having to purchase a box to see channels in HD.

AVS replaces Flow's HD package that required customers to purchase a HD box.
