The Scotia Foundation in association with the Kingston and St Andrew Corporation will be hosting a children's forum in recognition of Child Month.

The forum, which forms part of a suite of activities planned for the month, is slated for May 15, and will include discussants from the Child Development Agency, the Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse, the Office of the Children's Advocate, Hear the Children's Cry, and the Office of the Children's Registry.

Joylene Griffith Irving, executive director at Scotia Foundation, said that the forum is aimed at bringing together the agencies involved in childcare and protection to look at solutions for safeguarding children.

Other events planned include a children's march and a book fair.
