The police are to begin a crackdown on motorcyclists as they hunt the men who killed a Canadian visitor in the resort town of Negril.

The slain visitor has been identified as 35-year-old Andre Palakia, a real estate broker of Ontario, Canada, who was vacationing in the island with his father and female companion.

Police Commissioner Dr Carl Williams, who visited Palakia's father and female companion, noted that he was killed by men on a motorcycle, and warned that the cops will be more robust and thorough in dealing with riders.
