Fifth- and sixth-form students will this year be introduced to new and revised syllabuses for several Caribbean Secondary Examination Certificate (CSEC) and Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examinations (CAPE) subjects.

Green engineering, animation and game design, and financial services studies are the latest additions to the CAPE subjects students will be able to choose from beginning this month.

CAPE syllabuses, which have been revised or amended for September, include food and nutrition, electrical and electronic engineering technology, accounting, arts and design, Caribbean studies, entrepreneurship, management of business, economics, sociology, and geography.

CSEC students will have to master revised mathematics and agricultural science syllabuses.

The CSEC electronic document preparation and management, Caribbean history, and theatre arts syllabuses have also been amended.

A revised syllabus for CAPE history is expected to be released later this year.
