The police are urging all Jamaicans to join the partnership for the prevention of domestic violence and last Thursday senior members of the Force made a special appeal as they addressed a Gleaner Editors' Forum.

ACP Ealan Powell

"Let all of all us join hands in settling our disputes in amicable ways so that they don't result in deaths."

Detective Inspector Claudette Hepburn

"We need the support of the public to have a better society, a better Jamaica, to make my life less stressful."

Force Chaplain Gary Budhoo-Fletcher

"Where there is domestic violence, get professional help. Where it involves the police, also get help. Don't sit and then one ends up in the morgue and one ends up in prison."

Superintendent Stephanie Lindsay

"We want persons to support us so that we can have safer communities, starting in the homes."
