Martin Miller appointed NHT managing director
The board of the National Housing Trust (NHT) has appointed Martin Miller the managing director of the agency.
Miller had been acting in the post for more than three years following the dismissal of Cecile Watson.
A newspaper advertisement yesterday did not say when his appointment took effect.
Miller joined the NHT in 1984 and has held several senior management positions over the past 18 years.
His appointment comes as an institutional review of the cash-rich agency nears completion.
Watson was dismissed in November 2013 during an audit into the expenditure of millions of dollars to refurbish sections of the NHT's head office.
A severance package was reportedly worked out with the then board after she threatened to sue the agency.
