The police are now probing last night's murder of a woman and her daughter in St Catherine.

The Portmore police said residents heard multiple explosions at about 10:10 p.m. and summoned them.

Upon arrival, both Moore and her were daughter were seen on the ground in blood with multiple gunshot wounds.

They were both taken to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Moore was the victim of a violent attack more than 15 years ago when her common law husband Wilfred Rhoden stabbed her several times and left her for dead on Old Stony Hill Road.

He then went to the family home in Kencot and inflicted wounds on Tajona and her two sisters seriously injuring them before he killed himself.
