The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising that several of its water supply systems continue to experience disruptions following the weekend flood rains.

The NWC says a number of communities especially in the parishes of Clarendon, St Mary and Portland are now without regular water supply because of high levels of turbidity and displaced pipelines along the distribution network.

It says additionally, the poor weather conditions caused electrical challenges in some areas.

The Local Government Minister Desmond McKenzie today reported that the preliminary damage to public infrastructure was $492 million.
