Operations at the Caribbean Cement Company have been disrupted due to strike action by workers.

Public Relations Manager at Caribbean Cement, Sophia Lowe-Pinnock told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that the strike has affected production at the Rockfort plant.

She says no cement is being distributed at this time.

Lowe Pinnock says workers are protesting wage negotiations currently under way with the National Workers' Union.

She says the matter has been referred to the Ministry of Labour.
