#ReturnToLondon: Danniel Thomas-Dodd lands in shot put final

Thomas Dodd is now ranked fifth heading into the women's shot put final.

National Champion Danniel Thomas-Dodd is through to Wednesday’s final of the women’s Shot Put at the 16th IAAF World Championships in London.

Thomas-Dodd placed third in Group A with a qualifying mark of 18.42 metres on her second attempt.

She is now ranked fifth heading into the final.

Jamaica’s second competitor, Gleneve Grange failed to advance after throwing 15.96 metres in Group B. 

China’s Lijiao Gong is ranked first heading into the final after registering a throw of 18.97 metres.
