Quiz battle gets hot

It's the start of Week Five of TVJ's Junior Schools' Challenge Quiz, and as the end of round one draws near, teams continue to battle it out to secure places in round two of the competition.

Week-five action starts today at 6:30 p.m. on TVJ with Mannings Hill Primary going up against Stella Maris Preparatory.

Lois Bernard, one of the coaches of the Stella Maris team, said the students are excited. As it relates to the preparedness of the team, Bernard said the senior members are dedicated and eager. "We try to do our best to prepare for our matches as if we are playing the finals. No school is underestimated," she said.

 

Matches that will be played this week

 

- Wolmer's Preparatory takes on Corinaldi Avenue Primary on Tuesday.

- In Wednesday's match, Howard Cooke Primary will meet Mandeville Primary.

- Greater Portmore Primary and Mount Airy All-Age will go head to head on Thursday.

- Mona Heights Primary and Creative Kids Learning Academy will face each other on Friday.
