#ByElections2017: JLP's Norman Dunn beats PNP's Shane Alexis in St Mary SE

The Jamaica Labour Party’s (JLP) Dr Norman Dunn has trounced the political neophyte the People’s National Party (PNP’s) Dr Shane Alexis in the St Mary South East by-election.

After all 108 boxes were counted, Dunn, was declared the winner by more 900 votes.

Boxes counted: 108 of 108
JLP: Dr Norman Dunn - 8,176
PNP: Dr Shane Alexis - 7,239

Dunn first ran against the late Dr Winston Green in 2016 and lost by five votes.

Green died in August resulting in the need for a by-election.
